South side looking from Valley Center. And yes, I was going to mention the cold but I don't think we would get much sympathy!

Tell me about it-- 8 inches last night and another 5 or 6 tomorrow night. Cooking indoors today, but I think it looks wonderful out- wish we had blue skies though.

no comments about the year around xmas lights!

I'd trade ya in a heartbeat. We got 1/4 inch of rain which turned to ice when it hit the ground. More coming. Then it's supposed to get windy. Getting the generator ready to go....

    Climate change sucks!

No snow today. Earlier in the week it was in the teens at night and in the 20s during the day. A front came through on Friday and brought warmer weather along with some rain.

85 here today. Same old same old holiday heat in FL. Gotta get me up north for Christmas one of these years.

Well, we use the metric system in canada (and most of the world) and then there is the imperial system. I didn't know there was an American system, is does it measure volume with gravy and height with the number of beef patties you can stack on top of another? :p

I am just teasing. Canada likes burgers and fries just as much, only we add cheese to our fries and call them poutine.

We're getting a lot of rain...the 8 to 10 inches of snow that was already in my yard is turning to mush and tomorrow that mush will freeze solid and probably stay that way until April. It's going to be a pain until we get a bunch of snow on top of it.

If it were a few degrees cooler we'd probably be getting between 28 and 32 cm (about a foot for you Murican's who don't play metric). I'd much rather have the snow. I've got the stuff I need to deal with that.

I'm a Toro guy but about 8 miles to the East, I've heard tell they really don't mess around with snow:

Damn, I missed that. I'm spending the holidays in New Orleans with balmy 70 degree days. But then again, I've also been here in June and July and will take MN single digit weather anytime compared to the South's 90 with 115 heat index.

I was so stoked to see snow on the San Gabriels again this Christmas Eve after 5 years. And Mt.Baldy is completely shrouded in pristine white.
I grew up in the SF Bay Area where it snowed once every 10years, usually in February, and just once. We all detested the idea of SoCal but I've really fallen in love with the dramatic landscape here that is so much more extreme than the Bay.

Just got in from clearing my driveway... yikes!
The snow on the way to my back yard was waist high. I couldn't live without a snow blower... nope.

Christmas Eve it was raining and windy early on, temp in the low 40s, but thankfully the wind and rain had passed by around 8:30pm so our soak in the 100 degree spa was quite enjoyable later in the evening.
