who builds pine cabs?

    Not sure about the weight savings, but J Design cabinets (the guy that builds the cabinets for Fargen Amps) has a line of pine cabinets.

    I had a spectacular BoB Burt pine cab. definitely a weight savings.

    Robert builds an EXCELLENT cab of nice light southern pine. Beautiful to look at and very lively sound. My 1X12 weighs about 28 pounds.

    Oh I didn't mean they weren't lighter, I just wasn't sure how much you weight you would save, like a specific number.

    I had RL Mott build me a head and speaker cabinet out of pine, it's not heavy, looks great and sounds even better
