SSIA. Besides Warren Haynes, what other well-known guitarists use a Klon?
I believe that Sonic Youth uses a Klon as well.
Me.... Uhhmm.... I think Brad Whitford of Aerosmith uses one. I saw one on someone else's board lately, but I can't remember who it was.
Nels Cline: http://www.nelscline.com/tech.html
Brad Whitford definitely...he swaps overdrive/boosts all the time but TIM and KLON seem to stay. Pretty sure Joe Perry also uses one.
Michael Lockwood (Fiona Apple, Aimee Mann, Lisa Marie Presley) is another Klon user.
I believe one is used by Metallica (source: pictures in Sound on Sound mag).
lenny kravits has had one in his rig for a while...
Definitely Joe Perry. If you watch the Live DVD that came out a couple of years ago there are a few closeups of Joe's board including one where he twists the delay time on his Memory Man. His board is almost as big as Brad's with the Klon, an Octavian, wah, original Whammy Pedal, Holy Grail, MM-4 and DL-4 and a Lehle switcher. He also has an old MXR DDL(blue face on top of his amps.
didn't David Grissom use one?
I believe I also saw a Mojovibe at Sweetwaters site that was on Perrys rig.
In the Blues world...
Debbie Davies & Coco Montoya.
Yeah, but he went to a fat boost and a fulldrive.
Peter Stroud was using one with Sheryl Crow a couple of years ago.
hey StompBoxBlues where is that picture of the mojovibe? I know that Brad had been using an Ultravibe on the Just Push Play tour but according to Greg Howard he took it off since he didn't need univibe sounds for the more recent gigs. I am not aware of Joe using a Mojo Vibe. I believe he did use a Foxrox Rack mounted Provibe in his Bradshaw rig around the time of Get A Grip, early 90's. I would love to see more of this info. I would also love to see some pics of Joe's efx rigs from the 70's-I recall a lot of MXR and Colorsound stuff plus an arrow-shaped pedalboard switcher that was way ahead of its time..
The Night I sat in with the insanely burnin' blues/rock guitarist Michael Burks, he had one with 3, DR Z MAZ amps. Very creamy tone!
Very cool Harry, that must have been a blast!! I've seen MB live and he is one helluva player!!
Sorry...it was the "ultra-vibe" (the earlier versions)
The excellent norwegian guitarist Marius Müller (1958 - 1999) who died in a car accident was a gear slut and tons of equipment went through his hands. But the Klon had a permanent place in his rig.
