Everyone thinks the 7027 tube is extinct. 7027's are in current production and we keep them in stock. A lot of Ampegs, and stereo type amps used this superior tube for tons of power and clarity.
They fit a 6L6/EL34 etc. type socket, but MUST BE REWIRED. The 7027 is capable of putting out a ton of power, like the KT66.
Two 7027 tubes can produce a real 76 watts RMS at 540V on the plates. (four = 152 watts, Check out a V4.)
These beautiful tubes sound absolutely great. Heavy glass and capable of running at very high voltages and current.
