Are there others that don't like using velcro on their pedals when attaching them to pedalboards? I prefer the 'bike chain' method.

Yes, I like the chains. My "board" is made of plywood, and it works for me.
I have purchased a few pedals lately that were "like new" that had the velcro on the bottom. WTF? can't people hold off on the velcro untill they decide weather or not to keep it?

Hate velcro....Loved it at first, but when you want to sell a pedal and there's all this pet hair and debris stuck to the bottom because of the velcro, you realize velcro was a mistake...Took me forever to get that sticky gunk off...

I love velcro. I've never had any problem with it.

I swear by zip ties. Pedals absolutely will not wiggle or fall off.

With the zip ties, are you just drilling right through the pedalboard, so that the ties have holes to go through? or...?

I thought of doing this recently, but never saw a board done with ties.

I don't like Velcro too much either. I really don't like the squishy feel when you engage/disengage a pedal that's sitting on Velcro. I don't like the fact that when you pull off a pedal, a lot of times it pulls up the board piece of Velcro. I don't like sticking things to the bottom of my pedal. I've been building up my board over the last year & have Velcro on it now but am getting rid of it! I'm either going to use the bike links or screw up through the bottom like I did years ago to my old board in the 80's. Nice solid feel.

    Cheers

I'm not crazy about velcro, but I change the pedals on my board too often to use the bike chainlink method, or anything else that involves putting holes in my board. In no time, my board would fall apart from all the holes drilled into it!

I dont use a pedal board as I do not use many pedals. Sometimes when I buy a used pedal that has velcro on it I forget and put it on the floor in the room where I play and inevitable, it ends up sticking to the carpet! I HATE velcro

Bike chain method is great if do the same thing all the time and are not changing pedals.

Velcro is great if you change out pedals (at all) and gig.

I do not have any worries buying a pedal with velcro on it, in fact I prefer it.

Velcro is all I use,, cant get more simple. By the way,, if anybody has a hard time removing all that sticky goop after removing the velcro.
Use lighter fluid,,, that yellow container, Ronsonol works like magic!

Check this out: I use velcro but I don't stick it to the bottom of my pedals. I unscrew the bottoms and take a piece of velcro (with the backing still attached) and stretch it really tight and fold the ends over the bottom and tighten it back up. Works great and no sticky mess.

Dang, this sounds like it'll work sweet. I think I'll be working my board for awhile before fastening them with bike link,,, might not have to go that far.
