I've always wanted to try one. I feel like I have a pretty good imagination, in general, but I can't wrap my head around the ergonomics of that guitar.

If I could get one for, I don't know- $500? $600? I'd probably pick it up for shiggles. The cheapest I've ever seen one was $900, which is about 50% more than I'd care to venture for the experience.

But I like guitars that are 'weird' and 'ugly'..... at least that's what I've been told.

See - now when the sales guy warns off buying one.. it's probably one of those rare times when it's ok to listen to a sales guy

It looks more like a 'V' than the original shape.

I agree with the "nobody" statement. Because that's the case. Maybe you see one once or twice, if at all, in your playing/listening lifetime. It's a "look at me" guitar, though to most it's a "look at that nimrod" guitar.

Looks like a bad mistake. I love '58 style Vs, but reverse body makes NO sense.

I think I would campaign to have a new letter shaped like a reverse V, i.e. /\. phonetically pronounced eev.

So that the regular Flying V would become a Flying /\ and the reverse Flying V would properly be renamed as Flying V, thus selling like hotcakes.

Dunno, but I'm really concerned about those that bought one of these.

Ok, so I guess I'm your Sasquatch:

Here's mine at a gig, live and in person. For all of you haters out there, yes, it's different and you have to play in standing up with a strap. But standing up with a strap is how gigging musicians play. Two '57 Classics in a mahogany body. What's so bad about that?

I likely would have bought one if it was made out of Korina.

Yeah, I feel like they should call the Reverse V the Flying V and they should call the Flying V the Flying A. Because it's shaped like the letter A!

And if you live in New Jersey, you can call it the Friggin' A

Cheers! :beer I knew at least one person here would have one. I joke around but it's cool to enjoy something you can call your own, if you really love it and commit to it, it becomes your signature and that's always worth respecting. Everyone wants to have a musical signature and gear is part of that so if you can do something that nobody else is doing, more power to you! You have to be thoughtful and dedicated to make a specific piece of gear "yours". I love that you play this live and don't just throw it in a closet never again to see the light of day, keep gigging with it! :dude
