I have a pedal I really like (rather not get into what it is) and the on-off switch is crapping out (low quality) I want to replace it with the best one on the market..........what would you recommend?

What type of switch we talking? 3PDT, DPDT, etc?

I've never had a problem with any of the 3PDT switches I've ever used, but if you just want to spend the extra money for peace of mind, Cliff and Carling make good switches.

    Best is so subjective.
I really like the BOSS system.

Yep Jack or Cusack. Those are relay driven and therefore not prone to some of the mechanical failures you see in other typical switches. And, I just prefer the feel of soft touch switches in general.

I have had 3 stomp switches fail in the past 5 years and 2 were Cliff and 1 was a Carling.
I have never had a failure with any of the blue Taiwan 3PDT stomp switches.

Not really sure what it is......call me electronically challenged! lol It is the on-off bypass switch and I need to replace it (hope i dont f it up when changing it considering I have never done that) ......but need a good one. It obviously turns the pedal on and off and the light.

    You'll need a 3PDT for that.

    What's the pedal?

Well I never said I used them :p

I buy the cheap $2.xx one's on eBay, but I think I bought a couple Cliff switches in the past and they're still going strong.

Dont laugh.......it's the original alpha drive.......when I first got it I hated it......too dark. I sent it back and they modded it to open up the tone stack. Now it's the best pedal vie got for leads! The on off switch sucks......sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes I lose sound completely......I want one that won't break! Then I need to figure out how to install unless you guys know someone in NJ that can do it!!

Just email them. I'm in need of a repair and they offered to fix it, no questions asked.
