Traditional, fat, maybe a little hot and beefy. Who makes the best?

My research shows you should look at Fralins and Lollars. Do some research on "Strat Pickups." Tons of threads.

I had a Fralin hot with the base plate in the bridge of one of my G&L's and it was pretty nice but I think I want something a little fatter sounding. Anybody tried BG Pickups "Phatty" or "Strat P90"?

Pete Biltoft... his Tele & Strat-sized P90's are fantastic. Plus, great prices & customer service:

I really like Harmonic Designs' S90. P90ish,not muddy, sounds good clean or distorted, still gives good quack when combined with the middle pup.

It's similar to the Fralin SP43, (I have used both),but with a better sounding high end (IMO).
