Who makes this amp? Big Iron, Big Voice British flavored amp but... Compact!

I'm getting frustrated so maybe I'm missing something out there. I got so very close recently with a 3rd Power Dream Plexi 50 but it was missing that big piano like clean and low end thump in the gain that's core to what I like. I noticed the Trannies weren't as big as some I've seen on say, some 50 watt Marshalls so maybe that was the issue but otherwise a great small (18x10x9ish) lite amp and is doing what it's designed to do, hence my search.
I got the same vibe from the Friedman Runt, if it just had some more oomph/bigger feel, that would have been a contender for sure. Weird but 50 watts used to sound much bigger to me? Are builder using smaller output transformers to reduce weight? If so, they are sacrificing that big feel I believe...Am I wrong?

What I play and what i'm looking for:
60's 70's Rock, Blues...Beatles, The Who, Sabbath to Petty etc.

    - Lotsa head room (not so much watts or loud but a big voice)
    - No more than 2 channels, even 1 great one is fine
    - An effects loop
    - A Master volume
    - Takes gain/fuzz pedals nicely
    - British flavored gains with glassy cleans. Nothing too vintage loose/fat or compressed or metal
    - Most Importantly: Compact, Small Box! ...Why are there so few Compact big iron/sounding amps out there?

    Some I'm considering;
Marshall 1987X (and switching out the wide box and having a master added?)
    Carol Ann
    Calling Ceriatone and ask them....
    ?

Get a 50 w plexi clone from Ceriatone, with a master volume on the back. It comes pre-built with a serial loop. I own a plexi 100 '69 and it is on par with the 2 early 70's superleads I've owned. I opted for no cabinet, and I got a plexi head cab from Sourmash.

Better yet, there is usually 1 or 2 on reverb lightly used....

Youd have to add a master on this one too. Great cleans and integrates so well with pedals

Are the output transformers hefty? I'm thinking I need to make sure this is covered first off...

I’ve owned many 1987’s and never enough headroom for me.

Try to play one. When i eventually get one, I'm just going to get a simple line out box for delay trem and reverb and run into a cheap solid state small combo while running the la30bl into one of the cabs i already have. Sounds better than a loop and all the glorious tone of the la30bl is kept unmolested. If the amp is right for you, it's not a hassle at all. I think this amp is a ulrimate pedal amp with deep rich cleans. You can get them for 1k and a line out box for 50 bucks (or make one if your so inclined), and a cheap solid state combo for 30 bucks and you have an amazing rig. Its 24" and 22lbs. And you get that amazing supergroup clean slate to color with what you like. Long rant. When you asked the question, it occurred to me it was what i heard when i got to play one and made the decision to flip some gear later this year and get this myself. Good luck with the quest.keep on jammin'.

You’ve asked for something that’s actually rare in amp land. Lol.

@SirGilmour has shown me some pics of amps Bad Cat has built for him, and one appeared to be a Deluxe sized chassis with Hiwatt sized transformers attached to it. Anyway, Bad Cat obviously ain’t scared of putting big iron on a little chassis. You may want to get in touch w SirG and see who his contact is at Bad Cat, or just contact them yourself through the website. Hope this helps bro!

TopHat 50w Emplexador Junior Classic. 1x12. This one is loaded with a Creamback H75. The same exact iron as a full-on 50w Emplexador head.

Delivers the goods x10. However, no effects loop (Brian G. has never been a fan of effects loops in his amps). You'll thank me later.

By the way, Brian Gerhard is now an active member of TGP. If you have questions, you may want to hit him up. He has a recent thread in the Builders & Retailers Forum. Look for @Mr. TopHat. The man builds some pretty special stuff (I currently own 7 and have owned 18 or 19 TopHats since buying my first one in 1998).

Love my Blankenship amps. This will likely be my next purchase. You can get a 120w or 170w version. Comes in a small headshell as well.

Here's an example of the smaller head shell.

I found this old pic. This is technically not the same amp, but same size chassis.

    Marshall SV20C?
    Friedman Mini Dirty Shirley Combo?
Not sure of those are what you're looking for with "big iron" but some suggestions none the less... I have the DS mini combo so don't hesitate to ask any questions.

One of my old Bad Cats... extremely compact. 2 channels. 15 LOUD watts. 12Ax7 clean and an EF86 gain channel.

Obviously not shy of oversized iron. Lol

I'm pretty sure those transformers are using PEDs.
