I'm sure my '42 J-45 isn't even close, but I love it, would never part with it, and it was made before we entered WWII.

Not the oldest Gibson, but definitely one of the oldest electric
guitars. 1936 Gibson ES150.

Cool thread, curious to see how far back we get.

I sold my 1924 L-4 a little over a year ago. Sweet guitar, I had it for a few years, sold it, bought it back and sold it again. It may find its way back to me again. Still had its Virzi intact. This was a Lloyd Loar era guitar, but he only signed L-5s. Deepest bass you ever heard in an archtop and a neck like a baseball bat, but to die for.
