I have one and it came with a few extra diodes (I think, they have 3 pins). I just went through them today and there are minor differences in tone. I am trying to figure out what one I like best...

Has anyone changed these out and preferred one of the other ones???

I didn't think there was supposed to be any difference in tone, from what I remember. I talked w/John when I got mine and he said they were included because they can go bad sometimes and are easy enough to replace that he includes some spares.

Don't really care what Zachary Vex has to say. I didn't start this thread to start a flame war. If you don't have anything substantial to add or don't personally own a Landgraff boost, DONT POST!

I know that the Landgraff boost is a SHO "clone". So fu(#ing what.

Go start your own thread about the Zvex/Landgraff/TS bu11$hi+ if that is what you need to do to make yourselves feel better. Keep it out of my thread.

Anyways...The diodes have different numbers on them, and I did hear slight differences in tone, so I was wondering what others thought.

    Jeez...I haven't been here in a while and now I remember why.:NUTS

People don't seem to like to talk about tone or gear.

    they're mosfets, not diodes.

Thanks for the clarification. I don't know my electronics that well. Took a class in HS a long time ago...

There are diodes in the pedal (at least in the one that I saw).

One diode was for power supply protection, and the other two were 1N4148 diodes to protect the mosfet gate.

In normal use, none of these diodes are conducting, so modding them will not impact the sound :)

    regards, Jack
