Who wants to help an impatient Aussie get an El Cap?

Title says it all. Who would be kind enough to help out? I have the money to get one, but can't get it shipped here through Strymon. They have sold out on Pre-order at practically every shop that will stock them here, and the others don't know how long the wait will be. Any kind people out there with a high post count, and good reputation want to be the middle man in this for me, in particular a builder or someone trustworthy? I'm not just going to go with any regular Joe.

Or, Strymon, when are you sending a shipment to Australia, and if you don't mind me asking, why don't you ship to Australia through your store? I have money and am waiting to buy...

I would like to do the same except I'm on the list for one and I guess I want to help out my local dealer. Tis a shame about the whole not shipping outside the US but I'm sure there is a good reason behind it.

I'd like to help to, but i didn't get my name down quick enough and would hate to miss out on this batch. And seeing that they are still in stock on the Strymon website, and i'm not allowed to purchase is eating at me, haha.

It does include them, and i'm on the list, but very far down. I've rung all stores within Australia that i know stock Strymon, and are expecting the El Capistan, and it's the same thing each time. They have sold out on pre-sale. There is a shop in Bondi which doesn't look to have sold out on pre-sale, but i've having trouble dealing with them (rarely answer their phone), and they have no idea on when they are coming in.

Have you tried Matt at www.pedalempire.com ? Bit of a wait for the El Capistan and Blue Sky Reverberator apparently, but worth a shot.

I know your pain. I pre-ordered an El Cap from their UK distributor before they were released and I get the impression that those units haven't gotten anywhere near the UK as of yet. A direct purchase option would be great for countries where the distribution is slow. Currently all my £250 has got me is an email saying they'd be here before September!

Someone should sell me their El Cap for $320USD, and then with that money, buy a new one and ship me theirs, yeah? They are still in stock. Brilliant idea.

Hi Pestophan, Its Matt here from pedalempire as Mondo500 suggested we have the El Caps arriving mid-end of this month (sept) I have plenty coming in and can ship it to you the day it arrives if you can pre-pay or put down a deposit so I can hold one for you. I kind of know your pain, i'm in canada and styrymon only ships through courier company and for us that means a bunch of extra charges coming across the border... which could be avoided using Usps... its actually holding me back from ordering one. Also no canadian dealers are listed...
