Who would buy this "relic"?

    I was looking at that today and thought the same thing.

    I actually attempted to relic an old poly, fiesta red strat body I had laying around a while back, it looked similar to this disaster, lol.

    I haven't made an attempt to relic anything since!

    I wouldn't pay $250 plus shipping for a Squier unless it was one of the older MIJ models.

    "relic" , like "vintage" are words that can have different meanings, depending on who uses them...

    yeah, poly finishes do not work so well for relicing ...I've yet to see a convincing example

    I'm beginning to believe there are a lot of folks out there who think making a guitar look like a relic is 'easy.'

    The dremmel / belt-sander may be the fastest route, but never the best!

    Let me add, that one was HIDEOUS!!! :jo

    i cant deal with relics like that. or relics period. they play nice but it feels like your skimping out on actually spending time with a guitar to get it like that, (well not like THAT guitar, it looks like it was dragged across a stage made of sandpaper)... :D
