I've never been fortunate enough to dine at Ted's fine establishment, but my lovely wife bought me this beautiful shirt at their on-line gift shop. BTW, for those who don't know about Ted, he invented the foil wrapped baked potato. A visit to Ted Bell's is definitely on my bucket list !

My wife actually paid 70 bucks for that stupid shirt. Phil makes both of us laugh until we cry.

Any place that has a special stall for women that "need" to purge after a meal, is not a place I'd call a "fine establishment"

Never heard of him, but I googled the name. So I guess Ted's of Beverly Hills is a fictional steakhouse created by this radio show guy? Sounds hilarious but I still would never pay $70 for an in-joke T-shirt.

I mainly wanted an excuse to use that gif and swore to post it on the first thread I could find where someone clearly overspent on an item purchase. Figured it'd be a guitar or amp, but T-shirt it is.

I haven't heard Hendrie in a long time...is he still doing R.C. Collins? That was always hilarious.

BTW, the greatest bit I ever heard him do was "Dean Wheeler's Hellhouse". One of the funniest things I've ever heard in my life.

Loved Phil back in the day....

Funniest bit I can recall was Dean Wheeler and Warren Benman raising money to get Jerry Lewis to stop the Labor Day telethon....

Phil still podcasts... lots of free content, some paid. I won't ruin the gag for the uninitiated... suffice to say, its comedy GOLD.

That makes sense, since I've never heard of the place and have lived within 10 miles of Beverly Hills my entire life, but seriously, $70 American dollars for a T-shirt? :eeks I hope it came with a steak dinner...

I wish you guys would stop referring to a 100% polyester bowling shirt as a t-shirt. Beautifully embroidered on top of that.

Peteyvee, you're close by,so you and the missus should book a reservation ASAP. You will not be disappointed.

Oh, it's a bowling shirt. Sorry, I assumed it was a T-shirt. I'd like to go, but since the address doesn't exist ;) (78 N. La Cienega Boulevard Beverly Hills, CA 90211, right?) I'd have a hard time finding it. OTOH, there are a bunch of good restaurants nearby. After all, if it existed, it would be in the middle of restaurant row...

Yea Phil really "set the table" for this kinda gold. Clear Channel has a group of character actors who do an utterly piss-poor job of introducing Phil Hendrie type bit's into their prime AM talk shows. It's paltsy and transparent and utterly incapable of even remotely puttin' people on like Phil does.

I miss Phil to be sure.
