Now THIS is a scientific question / poll if I ever saw one.

What the heck is the criteria for this?

always nice to just let praise be. i like most everything, respect everybody. when i was a kid the people performing music were the saints in my house. everybody mentioned gets a "pass". sure, why not. all well deserved.

add for me: springsteen, muddy waters, jeff tweedy, eddie cochran, brian setzer, patsy cline

insulting a style of music or a musician is a common way to navigate around one's own ignorance and lack of tolerance, that unfortunately is visible to all, except the person who said it. sorta like the emperors new clothes, etc.,

I'm going to go with all the good folks here who have been playing their passion for appreciative audiences since last week or for many years - without them this place would likely not exist.

Reread the opening sentence to my OP. If your answer is still "I don't know," accept that there will be some threads here from time to time that are beyond your ken.

nobody. There are many artists that deserve the highest respect but if they make a bad album in the future there's no reason not to say so loud and clear.

In fact, here's the definition of lifetime pass right here (albeit phrased in the negative).

Had to remove 2+ pages of posts from this thread because:

    1. Some people can't resist the urge to bash fellow musicians.
    2. Other people can't resist the urge to comment on the bashing.

Don't feed the trolls, folks... and don't BE a troll!
