I'm looking into buying my first gretsch I'm looking to spend as little as I need $1,000-$1,500 is really my budget and I've been really looking at the G6122II because Ive been finding them for about $1,400-$1,600. Is there something I should know about these? I mostly play though an AC15h1tv.

I think that the long scale, drab color, and fake F-holes are turn-offs for Gretsch's main constituency, the neo-rockabilly enthusiasts.

^ it's pretty amazing how one single artist can revive / carry an entire brand, non? I mean, the Slash / Gibson situation is sorta similar, but not as intense as Setzer / Gretsch
