Why did Suhr Rasmus get discontinued?

Hopefully John (goes by Husky on here) will chime in - I believe he mentioned that they were doing quite a bit of setup and other work on them when they got to his shop so it wasn't really worth it to keep them around.

looks like they were great bang for the buck guitars
I had one of these, the quality was fantastic. If I recall what John said back in the day correctly they were discontinued because they weren't really profitable for the company in the long run given the $1000 price point and how much work had to be put in to get them to his standards before they went out.

Just missed out on one used, it sold for $350 - just an hour ago.

Someone got a good deal. I've been dying to try these for like 10 years.

Not profitable for the company at the price point they were selling them for.
Plus I think there was too much hassle with overseeing the building of them which was being done in China.

That GG Sig is nice. IIRC, even as a Rasmus gtr they weren't inexpensive. Maybe just north of 1k for that GG model?
