why does the pentatonic have a bad reputation?

    Pentatonics are way older than 7th century bc. Our Palaeolithic ancestors made pentatonic flutes from vulture bones

    Because some ppl believes playing a pentatonic scale is *just* repeating the same lick over and over again.

    Name any chord......and *some* pentatonic scale will work on / in / over / through it.

    I've never listened to what I perceived as good music and thought nah its pentatonic it's no good.
