Real, honest, simply prepared Italian food is one of the great cuisines of the world. A chain restaurant that haunts interstate exits and provides family style, reasonably priced, healthy and authentic Italian food could be named Olive Grove.

Olive Garden, as a name, is apt.

Sure, like a manure spreader is called a "honey wagon."

Because they focus grouped "Freezer To Plate Garden" but did not get good responses.

If I recall, "garden" means different things around the world.
Many people call their yard or landscape, the garden.

Here where I am from, the garden is in the back yard where I grow tomatoes and
    other assorted delectable's.

I think their food is OK.
My wife is Italian so it isn't her first choice.

But, the one by me is always packed.
Sometimes people will wait in line for over an hour before being seated.
I would love to own that restaurant.:D

The few in my area are also packed all the time. I mean, the food is 'aight. From my experience though....if all the "chef's" are schooled at some Tuscany cooking college... Then why the hell can't they saute up a simple plate of veggie pasta with pesto for the 'ol lady and get it right?

The last time we went, my food got cold cause my girls food had to be sent back twice before we gave up.

The chose Olive Garden because McDonald's threatened to sue if they used McGiuseppe's or McBreadsticks-O-Pently like they originally wanted to.

the thing about "olive garden" is it doesn't even sound Italian but it does sound generic

"mcdonalds" doesn't really give away what you're in for either :dunno
