I would love to put a KTR against my Arc Klone, in the vids it sounds ever so slightly sweeter in the top end. But it is one of the ugliest pedals out there I reckon. From the grey knobs, to the awful text on the top, should of just made an updated version of the original gold and silver Klon design wise :dunno

I think it's a cool looking pedal and I like the text :dude

I just never really liked the pedal and it collects dust.

I agree. I hate the look of the original klon and think the KTR is cool.

The look of the thing was one of the problems between Rockett and Bill. You could always strip the powder coat and polish the bare aluminum, or repaint it whatever you want. It's been done before.

I'd rather have an "ugly" KTR than the Jr. High School, Way Huge, sexual-innuendo-joke-of-the-month-box

To me the utter perfection looks wise is a gold Arc with the blood dakaware knobs. Good to know others like the look though :)

Yep that's the money right there! I have a white one and I am always jealous of the gold ones out there!

I wonder if the whole idea of the KTR is just a manifestation of Bill's disdain for people with absurd expectations.

I like the way it looks and the text. It's kind of a very strange niche art/discussion piece. I was just glad to see that when they came back out he hadn't changed the graphic. I think he should change it now though or do colors.

I would like a safe easy way to remove the text without messing up the paint underneath.

I don't think that's possible, unless you can find some sort of solvent that will remove whatever paint or silk-screening ink that's one there without interacting with the powder coat. Why not just get a order a powder coated 1590BB and rehouse it? The hole that'd be hard to drill is the square one for the almost always switch.

I thought the point of a pedal was how it sounds and ease of use and reliability.

You could probably just rub it (the writing) off with rubbing compound if it's just a silk screen then polish it back up with some swirl remover.

I'm more into the sound than the looks. I kind of like the snarky remarks. it bugs my cousin though! To each their own.

Yea I'm not saying I won't put something on my board if it sounds good but is ugly, but I'm usually more exited about it when its sexy as hell.
