Does anyone know if this is normal? The baseplate of the trem where it contacts the pivot post has been chewed up so there is now a groove in the knife edge. The bridge is brand new. I installed it about a month ago.

I bought the bridge on eBay from someone in Taiwan (I know, but it was the only place I could find this particuluar model). I'm wondering if it is a fake and they used cheap metal for the baseplate.

Wouldn't be surprised if it was fake. What model was it?

It was the WVP with a steel block. It is different than the Gotoh version.

I got my Wiklinson/Gotoh VS100N from Warmoth. They go for $89. Stew-Mac has them too, as well as the VSVG. I've had no problems with my knife edges.

    ...Stormin!
