Will a Two Rock do hardcore tones?

So i really dig the Two Rock Custom Reverb Signature Version 3, plus i can get one for a decent price locally (crazy since i'm in Australia).

I love the clean tones it does, but i mainly play stuff like Post-Hardcore (Alexisonfire, Amity Affliction) so i'm not sure if it will cover what i need.

Will it be able to get me these tones? Will i need a pedal to boost it?

From the clips I've heard, it seems more like a blues/mild gain kind of amp.

If you're wanting to go the 'post-hardcore' route, you'd probably be better off with possibly some form of Marshall (JCM800/JVM-1), Orange Rockerverb, Mesa Rectifier/Mark III or IV or Peavey 5150/6505/JSX. Generally, using a mild gain amp with a pedal for higher gain just ends up sounding 'fizzy'. Using a pedal like a Tubescreamer or Maxon 808 for a boost works well, even with high gain amps but using a pedal like a Rat or Marshall Jackhammer is better for home practice more than live use.

i think so just make sure you get the special gold high gain tubes.

I suppose you can pound nails with a late-fifties les paul, too.

If super high gain is your thing, there are lots of cheaper and easier ways to get there. I've owned lots of TRs I can't imagine being satisfied with them in a h/c context.
