Will the newer non-offset USA Strat bridge fit in a pre-2008 USA Strat?

    sorry if this has been covered...I did a search and couldn't find it.

    Will the newer non-offset bridge and tremolo assembly on the post-2008 Fender American Standards fit as a drop-in replacement for the offset trem assembly in the pre-2008 models?

    Really hoping so, I bought one off the bay a while back just havent put it on yet.

    Yes they are a drop in replacement. The American Series (pre-2008) and American Stnadard (post-2008) tremolos are drop in replacements.

    However, you cannot just swap the saddles. The intonation screw holes are drilled in different locations on the back of the trem plate.
