Can anyone who has played both weigh in with your thoughts? Which did you prefer and why? I'm looking for the wah to end all wahs and have narrowed the search to these two.

If youre lookin for a wah to end all wahs then I would look at Chase tone. More info about what YOU want and why would be better tho

Are you on a budget? The Chase Tone is great but if you don't want to break the bank, the Area 51 is damn good. I have one and recommend it if you don't want to pony up the $300+ for the Chase Tone.

The fully loaded Area 51 is $345. Let's assume money is no object.

I have had the Wilson and the Area 51 and I like the Area 51 more myself. It sounds to me more like the old Vox wahs only better.

Area 51 is a good wah. But at $255 you can get the a51 sound with ease plus a whole lot more with this RMC3FL IMHO
