I had a bad opinion of Nadal for a long time. Seemed like such a "prima donna", and his OCD preparations before serving is so hard to watch, but watching interviews with him, has changed my opinion. He comes across as a serious, fair and actually humble athlete, so I really respect the guy. And he's a fantastic player, obviously.

Djokovic is great, but I honestly find him very boring to watch.

I like to watch Nadal touch his water bottles and reorganize them. It's as fun as watching Djokovic bounce the ball fifty times before he serves. The only one that is not OCD is Fed.

Watching Djokovic v Goffin now. This could be interesting. Goffin plays really well.

Fed and Raf Friday. Nadal is playing on grass better than I have ever seen before.
Federer is going to have big problems I think.

At least this one should be a very competitive match, unlike most others there this year.

Interesting tidbit ... Excluding the US Open where they've never met, if Nadal beats Fed in this one, Roger will no longer have a winning record over Rafa at any of the slams, the closest being Wimbledon, where they'll then be tied.

If Nadal wins Wimbledon this year, its going to go a long way towards making him the greatest ever. He will have to beat Fed and Djok to do it though.

Really interesting to see how many GSs the big 3 end their careers with. Raf still needs at least 1, if not 2 more on non clay surfaces to be considered goat imo. 12 french actually hurt him in that regard.

LOL. Oh, I think Fed has a dose of OCD as well, but it's more subtle. I mean, just look at the guy ... nothing out of place, not a sign of a wrinkle in his clothes, it's almost like he's too perfect. Heck, the dude barely sweats!

Whaddya wanna bet that he neatly lays out his whole outfit the night before each match, only after it's first checked for perfect color coordination, pressed, and steamed of course?!!

The dominance of the big three the last 15 years or so is really remarkable. The world has seen great players before, but not with this kind of longevity. The determination and willpower you need to stay at that level are insane, really. After they retire, it may be a long time before we see anything similar again. Maybe never.

"It's as fun as watching Djokovic bounce the ball fifty times before he serves." He stopped doing that years ago. I agree that we've experienced an era of men's tennis that will probably never be matched. The fact that Fed has TWENTY GS titles is amazing enough, that Nadal has accumulated 18 and Djokovic 15 at the same time boggles the mind. Hoping either Federer or Djokovic take the title, anyone but Nadal.

We should make a poll of who we guess/hope will win.

My guess is Djokovic, and right now, its just a guess. If its Djok and Nadal, its going to be the guy who wakes up feeling a little better that day.
They are easily the best two in Tennis today. Cant see Fed doing it, but he is Federer!!

Nadal is insane shape at the moment. During rallies I think Federer will have problems, but Federer's serves though - his serves against Nishikori were crazy good. Will be a great match. Could possibly be a long one.

This match-up seems more like a final.

Either way, we should also get a very good final, assuming Novak dominates Bautista as he likely will.

    Players are warming up.

It's been a joy watching the men's tennis over the last decade and a half. Great, great ambassadors and great rivals on the court. Wawrinka and Murray deserve a lot of credit for managing to win 3 grand slams in this era.

Grand Slams Since start of 2003
    20 - Federer
    17 - Nadal
    15 - Djokovic
    3 - Wawrinka
    3 - Murray
    1 - Cilic
    1 - Gaston Gaudio
    1 - Marat Safin
    1 - Juan Carlos Ferrero
1 - Jaun Martin del Potro
    1 - Andy Roddick
    1 - Andre Agassi

And if you go from 2004, the list is even smaller:
    19 - Federer
    17 - Nadal
    15 - Djokovic
    3 - Wawrinka
    3 - Murray
    1 - Cilic
    1 - Gaston Gaudio
    1 - Marat Safin
1 - Jaun Martin del Potro
