Hey, i have an Egnater Tweaker 40 combo and it is having an intermittent problem. Usually after about an hour of playing the volume drops and it makes a windy noise which intensifies when i toggle the standby switch. Help please!

Failing preamp tubes often make whooshing noises, like someone blowing air across a mic. I'd recommend getting a known good new 12AX7 and use it to replace one preamp tube at a time, starting with the one closest to your input jack.

Swapped 'em one at a time? That is important, because one of the "new" ones may also be faulty.

Other than that, you may have a poor standby switch. Also consider your input jack.

That's generally a bad idea with any kind of power (as opposed to signal) switch.

Ok so it only makes the sound when there is a tube in v2 which is the fx loop. All of the tubes seem to be fine. Maybe a bad socket?
