I am currently swapping out the Duncan P-90s in my Melancon P90 artist with TV Jones Filtertrons. The Duncans used a 3-way mini-toggle for split / series / parallel wiring - a set-up that TV does not recommend with his Classic and Classic + filtertrons.

So - I have this unused mini-toggle in my guitar....

I'm thinking of having it wired as a standby switch like on Gretsch. Any other cool ideas?

    Thanks!

No ideas but will you post a pic after the swap. That sounds very cool.

Maybe a switchable cap, for altering the tone? Something that will give you a nice pre-set, when playing leads? Maybe a Mid Boost, that will also take off a little high end, and Bass?

    A Mid cut?

It is actually going to look nearly identical. TV Jones makes the Filtertron in a P90 housing (mine are actually cream):

That's a good idea....Gretsch does a 3-way tone switch in place of a tone pot on some of their guitars.
