On my 100 watter, I have to keep the treble fairly high ... the amp must get brighter at higher volumes.... which seems contrary to me, they usually brown up at higher volumes.

    What speakers? EL34s or 6L6s?

    Thanks!

Every Wizard (alot) I've ever played gets darker/browner at higher volumes. Rick even told me they're designed to "richen out" with volume.

Yep. Same with my Vintage Classic. Going from 2 to 3 on the volume control makes it sound like a totally different amp, ...and it just gets thicker and "richer" from there!
