Well... I'm stuck with a Boss DD6. Got it for 66 bucks. I guess it's a deal but I bid on it fully expecting to be out bid. Kind of like "well if I win it for X dollars great but I rather maybe not win the auction".

    This ever happen to anyone?

I suppose or hope can flip it for that price or maybe I'll find it useful...

A few months ago I won a Laguna LE50 guitar. I thought for sure I'd get outbid since I didn't even try to snipe it. I just bid the minimum about a day before the auction ended. As it happened, I was the only bidder.

Anyway, I've set it up for open E slide and I'm having a lot of fun with it.

Twice actually. Once on a Teese Picture Wah, and once w/ a Roger Mayer Octavia....kind of funny they were both Hendrix related. Anyway, I put in low bids, didn't think about it for 4-5 days and then got the, "You just WON....." e-mail.

Never bonded w/ either, sold both and made some money in each case. It's not the worst thing in the world.

A buddy of mine did something like that, except with a $1700 gold top LP. He put a snipe in on the guitar for $1700 max. Five minutes before the bid ended, he changed his mind and tried to cancel the snipe.... "Snipe in progress. The snipe can not be canceled at this time."

So he said a prayer hoping someone would outbid him.

A few days later, the guitar was sitting at his doorstep. Lol

Ohhhhhh......that would hurt. Mine were $125 and $150 respectively.....a $1700 mistake would be painful. I'd have tried to break the internet over that :).

I put a bid on a Fender 57 Tweed Deluxe reissue for $1000 bucks at the last minute on Labor day weekend and won. I couldnt believe it! I still have it and probably never part with it.

I got sniped on a Tim pedal....THAT was a bummer.

I did however get a pristine 99 Buick Regal MANY moons ago for $5000. It was the supercharged, leather the whole nine yards. May not seem like a great deal, but the wholesale value was over $10k. :)

The wife said sure because she wa aside is never get it. Hehe. Flew out from Ohio to Ct and drove it 680 miles for my test drive. :)

Happened to me with the Foxrox Hybrid Fuzz I won days after I bought an EJ Fuzzface at a local store. I fully expected to be outbid but I wasn't. Even though its a great fuzz, months later, the EJ was gone....Still have the Foxrox tho!!!

You may find it useful. Warp mode is unique to that particular number in the series and is really musical.

I'd be happy, that's a deal on a DD-6. Flip it for a profit if you don't bond with it.

Late night bidding on things I don't really need is pretty much how I've acquired every piece of gear I own.

$199 seems to be my 'impulse bidding' sweet spot. I got both a Fernandes Monterey Elite (w/ sustainer and seymour duncan jb) and a Squier J5 telecaster off eBay for $199 each (before shipping) when I didn't really expect to get either.

I won't bid on something unless I really want it.

I usually like Buy It Now or Best Offer, instant gratification.

If it is auction, I just put the max I am willing to pay and let fate take its course
