1957 Gibson Les Paul Custom Switchmaster Black, Excellent, $123,456,789.00
    https://www.gbase.com/gear/gibson-les-paul-custom-switchmaster-1957-black
It's rare- custom ordered by owner in 1957 With Gibson ES5 Switchmaster / wiring and its appeal will be high from those collectors / investors whom require the worlds rarest of all LPs.
    At least it's not $123,456,800.00 :D

There are plenty of one-off Gibsons. Not sure if this is a one-off, but I would guess those are the rarest.

The price is a gimmick. Just to get noticed. i did a bit of research, it appears the guitars sold in the over a million are rare indeed. Like 5 or 6.

Not to hijack.... May need it's own thread.

While we are talking about rare guitars, Paul Allen has quite a bit of Jimmy Hendrix guitars and memorabilia. The EMP is not rebranded as a pop museum and the guitars and music is taking a back seat.

Yeppers I know. I live in the Puget Sound Area, heard it. Seahawks will be the most expensive NFL purchase in history btw. His sister doesn't want most of his assets. Portland Trailblazers too will be sold. I believe the guitars will go up on auction next year as well.

I require only the rarest and finest. Thanks for pointing this out!

That lp was on reverb recently for a pretty fair price.

I remember once reading that the Gibson Harp Guitar was the rarest.

Once again, there are plenty of one off Gibsons. If there's only one- there's only one- so if there's one- it's not more rare than another one that there's only one of.

I think the only guitar that can be the rarest is the one that apparently did exist- there's documentation of- but no existing examples of. The Moderne.
