Would I regret getting a EB VP JR?

I know there's a million and one volume pedal threads, but oh well. I've avoided the Ernie ball volume pedals out of fear string breakage/scratchy pot. It's time to upgrade my cheap no name VP I've had forever and the size and layout of the VP Jr would work well. I would mostly use it for swells and synthy stuff. It will go after my drives and at least one is always on. If it's better I could make the boss fit. Also open to suggestions. Under $100 used.

Thanks

the string and pot may be a let down, but it really does have an awesome sweep on it for swells etc.... which is why people love it.

So the MVP has a built in buffer? I have no need for the min volume knob but the buffer might be good

I have 2, and one of them for over 10 years, never had the string break or any problems!

I've had mine for about a year with no string break. The worship leader had my church has a full sized EB VP for about 7ish years with no string break. I'd say that's pretty good. If you don't want to go through the hassle of putting in the new string, you can buy another one, they are not expensive at all. I got mine new for 50 bucks on amazon.

You won't regret anything except the specs sheet. Great pedal for stupid cheap.

I haven't owned any volume pedals yet but I think I'm just going to get a Bigsky to replace my Bluesky and use the swell feature on that. I know this isn't what you asked for but just throwing that idea out there.

OK you convinced me. I just got a new MVP off an eBay seller who accepted an $88 best offer. For the price of a new passive unit I couldn't resist.

I would worry about string breakage and tone suck too...

I'm using a optical Morley Mini Volume now I bought from a TGP member and it works great! no tone suck and is small!
