Would it be okay to use an acoustic cable for an electric guitar?

Was just wondering if it's okay if I use a Monster Rock Acoustic Cable for now for my electric guitar...just to play some clean tones and whatnot (no OD/dirty effects) until I can go buy a regular instrument cable this week.

It won't do any harm to the guitar will it?

It doesn't matter. The "acoustic" monster cable is just a regular instrument cable, supposedly built to have a different voicing, which is "EQ'd" for acoustic guitars. It's actually almost the same as their Studio Pro cable. Just dressed up with different cosmetics. Any 1/4in instrument cable will do the job. Of course with different brands and models of cables come varying degrees of capacitance, flexibility and other factors which affect the cable's tone and performance... Many options to help tailor your sound... Just don't use a speaker cable, and you'll be fine. :)

From what I've read in numerous places, Monster cables are ridiculously overprice anyway.

It will be fine, and you will not harm your guitar!

You might notice slightly less pronounced mid-range and slightly more highs and lows (which is more or less the general EQ of acoustic guitars vs. electric), but the difference is probably going to be negligible.

I'm wondering when the Monster Rock Mandolin cable is released...my standard cable isn't cutting it.

I can't figure how they'd "EQ" something with no circuitry, and even if they could, it's funny to see claims of transparency and getting the full frequency spectrum to the amp...
