guarantee you a good singing voice? I've always wanted to be able to sing but just can't. I think I would do it. Just a question that came up in light of all the "vanity" surgeries that seem so popular today.

If insurance would cover it, I probably would. I'm a decent singer with a pretty good range but my voice is pretty unremarkable.

Yes. Vanity has nothing to do with it. I would just love to be a decent singer.

my voice sucked. and was getting worse every time i sang.

i found out i had 2 huge polyps in my throat. i had surgery to have them removed... wasn't a choice... it had to be done. i sounded like i smoked 3 packs a day... and i've never been a smoker.

now my voice doesn't suck so much. i'm still not exactly smokey robinson... but my range is much bigger and i can hold a steady pitch... enough to be a good backup singer... and sing lead on a couple songs a night to give the singer a break.... which is enough for me...
