Well, considering that hard feelings have worn off by now, i d call him and say something along the lines of "look, malaka, let s say this was a very long lasting loan, would you mind sending my gear or my money over?"

Maybe he reconsiders given that at his current age having any sort of legal trouble must be exponentially worse than what it was back in the day - just make sure you make him believe you have some sort of hard evidence.Although i doubt he kept the gear for himself.

On second thoughts - nah, don t call him. you ll just end up getting angry, upset and bitter, it s not worth it.

I'm lucky too, I've only had two dishonest pedal builders over the years
I just drop it..these guys know what they did, if they don't believe in Karma that's their problem
I should really ditch those pedals though...so I don't get that pissed aroma every time I look at them

I think you should contact him.

But I admit that 99% of my reasoning for saying that is that I want to see how this will play out.

What made you buy a pedal from him later? Just curious.

I wouldn't call him. Waste of time.
I'd go right to his house.
Be careful, though...Alabama, a lot of those people have guns.
    Make sure yours is bigger.
Watch some John Wayne movies, first, to learn how to draw real fast. Maybe even practice a little.
I'm not advocating violence. But, if it wasn't a real far distance from where you live, (idk...within 4 hours?) I'd be paying him a visit.

Call him and what? Identify yourself as a guy from his past with a problem and a long memory and then give him your home address?

I get carrying it around, I hate to get beat, but it's just that - carrying it around. That stops when you drop it.

Google him, find him, disguise yourself and whoop him! Sometimes Karma needs a little boost.
