One of the best semi-hollows I've played. Look for a video review coming up...
Hey........I think I recommended one to you a while ago, but you thought it would have neck dive issues.
Glad you dig it.........I need one, now!
I think because of the bigger body and single cut, it doesn't have the neck dive issues. With the 25.5" scale and heavier body and spruce top, it's got a robben ford vibe to it and the neck joint (which i was worried about) is a total non-issue.
Does the Hamer sound more like the Sadowsky Semi or an ES-335?
Love mine (now with Fralin 92s)
mine's got a spruce top!
Then it isn't a Superpro it is just a Monaco. A better Monaco in my opinion. I really love the sound of the spruce top. Does yours have F-holes or not?
Superpro's all have maple tops.
I've got a Superpro w/ a Spruce top (no f-holes/bigsby) in orange flake. Don't play it enough, ordered it when I was listening to RF among others
its a custom order, I know cause I speced it out
here's a short video I did with the monaco clean and dirty
Reviving this old thread...
After the long thread on Hamer guitars last week I came across Jack's youtube video. Are you saying it's a one of a kind? I'm interested in buying one of these and Wilcutt still has a couple of Monaco Superpros with flamed maple tops, but I'd prefer the spruce top. Thanks.
Don't know about pics but here's one of Jack's videos on Youtube:
Love the tone and it seems to be quite a versatile guitar too.
