    Hi guys and gals,
Just got word that my Matchless amp that I drug under my band trailer for 70 miles is on it's way home!!!
(I would have put this in the amp section but wanted the opinion of The Pub fellows instead..When I get it get it back I will post a full review with pics in the amps section...If it's ok with the mods)
    Short story with one pic.
Phil just emailed me with "suprise" as the subject.
My amp is done...I just need to pick a color scheme for the SC30 cabinet and it will be home shortly.
Here is the color chart for Matchless(one for a base color and one for the faceplate)..I don't think this includes all the colors as the site has not been updated.
Do you have a one off color you can recommend that Phil may used for yours? Or, How about some suggestions from the regular chart. I am open to options and would like something kinda different.(I already have a solid Green SC30/a solid shower curtain 95 Turquoise Lightning with with gray cloth and silver piping.(big brother/little brother thing and that covering seems to hold up well) Help me out if you can. If they had purple/orange flame/blue sparkle...anything other than the normal would be considered...It will be a sweet homecoming.( I don't want to hassle Phil too much with colors...If you have it, he may still)
Thanks, Don...Wreck of teh ole 93.

I almost threw up a second ago. I'm so happy that you are getting your amp back and you seem to be excited as well. That must have made you sick - NO?

Personally, I like Matchless amps in green for some reason.

depending on the grill cloth and piping, i'd go with either white or burgundy.
i'm a little biased though (my badcat is a burgundy or wine color with cream).

I vote WHITE. Maybe that fragile color will make you be extra careful next time. :)

Shower Curtain Black w/ Shower Curtain Turquoise face. I've been dying for a King Cobra and if I were going to order one, thats what it would be.

Glad you are getting it back finally. Quite a story. Definitely an amp you can never sell.

Be sure to show us final pics once it gets back.

I vote you keep it the way it is! Call it a 'relic' job!

JK, shower curtain turquoise is my choice, but I'm gaudy!

I have a King Cobra in two tone grey sparkle that looks great on stage. It's on Fat Sounds website.

I've also seen one in that tan color that looked great.

I loved the old grey that they were originally. Having said that, i think it should be reliced!

And then how did they "fix" that? New cab, new speaker, tubes, new amp controls. I guess they could save the original transformers and filter caps? I'm thrilled for 90wreck that they fixed it, but I would have loved to be in the shop when they identified what replacement parts were needed!
