Favorite moment is when Jason Richardson teases a Tempting Time riff (Animals as Leaders song - Tosin's band) on Tosin's guitar, followed by the fist bump.

Yeah that kind of "music" makes me cringe. So much emphasis on the technical and so little on emotion and expression.

Where was the emotion and expression in that video?

They're mostly playing warm up stuff and not songs? Plenty of shreddy stuff with good song writing and soul. Anyone who looks will find it. If interested, I recommend checking out the band Intervals or the solo artist Ignacio Di Salvo.

Those guys are killer players, they are simply demoing some new gear and stretching their fingers a bit.
I guess the CLAW technique is now a must learn?

As always Greg never fails to show why phrasing and pure musicality is where it's at, not mindless boring exercises regardless of how technically proficient they are.

There's some crazy hybrid picking going on there. Watch his right hand.

This right here is why you could not pay me to go to NAMM, or anything like it.

Displaying enormous skill, knowledge, and versatility, trade show wanking for wankers is, for me, like teenage masturbation, thrilling, but ultimately inconsequential and forgettable.

You should probably turn in your musician card if you spend more than a minute or so on the posted clip . . . .

Hrrrrumphhh. These gear tests aren't complete, beautiful and emotive pieces of music.

I am a real artist and put soul in every note. I protest!!!
