I thought I'd share these here as a) we all love art, b) a lot of us love history, & c) a lot of us love historical art!

When I was a kid, my Mom worked as an assistant to a photographer/collector. I used to love to pretend I was sick so I could skip school and hang out at their office, looking at all of the old photos. This is a collection of 59 original journalist prints that was gifted to her by her boss, because he knew how much I loved the war stuffs. It took forever to scan and organize all of these prints chronologically, but I believe it was worth it for the story they tell.

    I hope y'all enjoy!

If anybody knows any good history and/or photography professors, collectors, or other good resources, please let me know! I definitely would love to learn more about these and hopefully do a gallery exhibit.

Thanks. Studied every single photo. That Italian campaign was very, very tough.

That air combat picture has to be worth some money.

Man, the dangers faced by those combat photographers. Many lost their lives, too.

Acme was an early photo wire service, later bought out by UPI to compete with the AP's photo wire. Most of the pictures here appear to be military handouts being circulated by Acme. The aerial one over Hong Kong is fascinating - you can see Causeway Bay on the Hong Kong side of Victoria Harbor and smoke after bombs dropped on the Kowloon side.

Those are incredible. My first thought after seeing the train load of Nazi tanks is that I hope the plane that took that picture bombed the crap out of it.

I thought it was odd the tanks were so tightly together.
