Just saw on Twitter today and the Internet has exploded...Zakk Wylde has left Marshall???

Guess he started a new amp company called Wylde Audio. Looks as if he left Gibson too.

    Anyone else hear about this?

    Not much info yet.
The amp face on Zakks instagram reads Wylde Audio Master 100.
    Likely MIC.

Doesn't surprise me. I have always been a fan, but as of late he just seems to have more and more signature gear. Not to mention I honestly don't think his style is as good as it use to be. He just seems all about shredding anymore. I recently saw BLS and he should just change the name to the Zakk Wylde band. It's all about him.

Everything is in development and he's taking his time with it (not exactly in a good way).

No one can really say anything because there's no way to judge anything yet. It might not even get off the ground.

Like was said, the website isn't even off the ground yet.. so anyone with any curiosity or interest can't even find out anything. Let alone try or buy something.

So far, it seems half assed and not much chance to succeed.

Given guitar companies are folding all the time, I give this a -200% chance of success

It seems like I first heard about his stuff awhile ago. If the website is still not up and running, I wonder if they having issues. I have always been a fan of Zakk however, I thing his tone was better back in the day. I also think he has a tough road ahead of him if he thinks he is going to sell a lot of these amps. The "Marshall" clone market is super flooded right now. I really don't think we need another company although, his prices might appeal to the younger generation of players that don't have a lot of money to drop on a rig.

I'm thinking if he came out with slightly smaller 50W, multi-channel, Marshall clones then they might sell. There aren't too many of them out there right now...

Possibly however, like I said before, the Marshall clone market is so flooded I think the only thing that might save him are his prices. Then again, that makes me wonder about build and sound quality being I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for.

It's not flooded with the features I listed in in the market and having trouble finding something. I think there's room for more.

There's a thread at RigTalk about the guitars.
