Hoping for a glut of older THR10’s on the used market so I can grab one ;)

One doesn't expect a $500 price tag on a practice amp, nor does it need 30 watts. Just...really weird neither-one-or-the-other choices re: pricing/features in these new Yammies.

Somehow this is exactly the decor I imagine in a house where the debate is "honey, I want a guitar amp in thu livin' room" "alright, but it better look good!"

The way I see it, the requests for an FX loop and footswitch, etc, take you into HX Stomp and Helix LT territory. So they already have that covered.

    The THR's look great.

And they make me happy that I am already there and beyond with my AX8 and Presonus monitors. No limitations at all (aside from myself).

WOW! thanks for posting this I just got a THR10 delivered two day ago, from sweetwater - I loved the sound of the 10 but would've loved rechargeable battery - more models and a little more volume - VII is great news for me - V1 is already on its way back. Thanks

I'm not on the THR team, but if I were, I'd probably suggest not having an FX loop too. Sometimes you need laser focus on a target audience, even if it ruffles the feathers of those outside.

Same reason Toyota doesn't make it easy to put 26" <Google image search> 28" 30" 32" 34" 36" 38" 40" rims on a Camry. HOLY HELL WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?!

Yeah I wouldn't want the effects loop, but I definitely miss outs on everything but the 30w. With the amount of modelling for demos/home recording going on these days... Yeah it pushes me toward the 30w but I don't need 30w, and I do need $150. Hmmm.

I know the adio looks weird and the plastic makes it feel like a drug store boombox but it does sound pretty good, does the same stereo spread thing. I'd still prefer the Yamahas. :)

I will say that Yamaha are awesome when it comes to answering your questions and taking your feedback. I've asked questions through their website (which could be better, for sure) and gotten personal replies the same day. I've gotten a phone call from a US-based real human being the same day. They've sent me diagrams and parts with no questions asked. They're great.

I’m leaning toward the 30-watt & don’t know why!

I think it’s because I want the wireless option & already have the lower watt THR10X.......

I’m trying to read the differences before placing my order at Sweetwater Sound.

So are you saying a smokey box amp with Kt88 is out of the question?
