Greatest ever?? How about the best offered in the last 10 to 15 years? I came into it very late and loved binge watching on NetFlix.

definitely the best cable show, I think Sopranos is still the King, but HBO allows so much more freedom since it is a pay channel..

Been catching reruns sporadically on AMC, and it's like falling in love all over again. Each episode overflowing with goodness. You can watch each one standalone, out of context, and they still shine brightly.

Great series. I'll watch the whole thing again sometime. I first got into it on Netflix and binged....it was crazy. I've never watched a series like that.

I'm getting near the end of Season 3. It's decent, but I find Walt a pretty hard character to like.

Great show. Best ever? too many arguments. The Simpsons. Cheers. Game of Thrones. Always Sunny in Phi. Family Guy Hell, House of Cards now is killer. Sherlock is way up there. Breaking Bad is and was awesome though. Make no mistake in what I am saying here.

I wouldn't compare a comedy to BB anyway, but Sunny is a pretty fantastic show that has managed to stay solid through a very long run (with some weaker episodes mixed in occasionally.)

Overall, I'll take Mad Men over anything, but its pointless to claim what the "best" show is. We are lucky to be in a time when TV has been elevated to a very artistic and high quality medium (and the Sopranos' success was a major reason for that).

The last 10-15 years has been the golden age of TV drama.

    My top 3 are:

    The Sopranos
    Breaking Bad
    Battlestar Galactica

Agree, but someone said greatest show ever. So that means all shows. I really enjoy all of the ones I listed. Can't believe someone hates Always Sunny so much, unless they take it too seriously. But that might be more my generation type of thing. Anyway its just a fantastic show....Breaking Bad. But hyperbole just gets in the way of pure enjoyment.

No, I just hadn't noticed many of the associations mentioned.

I saw this the other day. I picked up on a few of these, but most I never noticed. I liked the spectrum of Walt's clothing colors gradually getting darker as the show went on. That's forethought right there!

Yes indeed. Greatest ever. Just finished watching it all the way through again, and it's even better the second time around. Loved the Sopranos, but it stayed around too long, lost momentum and sort of meandered to the end. Breaking Bad stayed lean and mean. Hardly a wasted shot or line of dialogue in that show; it was so incredibly well thought out. One reason people love it so much is that there was never a jump the shark moment. It just got better and better...and then it stopped.
