You guys like Georgia Satellites?

Heres one I found in my collection of tapes. Looked cool so I gave it a listen.

Gotta say. Pretty good. Has that raw gritty sound that early Aerosmith or Blackfoot had.







Opinions? I think its a pretty solid rock album, straight forward, not a lot of curve balls, just some loud music. Anyone see them live? Just share any thoughts you have on the band.

I wrote them off at the time, but later on I grew to really dig them. Once I discovered the joys of Tele and LP Junior playing, it all made sense!

I have always thought that the Black Crowes (beyond the quality of each one) had and knew how to have the luck or enjoyed the success that the Georgia Satellites could have had.
Their first album is f- - - - ng good!
And it was one of my friend Franky's favorite bands!

I think they are great if you like that style. Too many people focus only on the overplayed single and don’t listen to the rest of the first album, let alone the rest of their catalogue.

They are okay - a bit of a One Trick Pony though - it gets a little tiresome after 3 or 4 songs.
