    Or...overdone.

I like Ron's work, and that guitar took such an incredible level of artistry to build, I could never even step close to it-but...I somehow think it's a little...overwhelming. I just have more basic tastes. So- no offense intended...just not my speed.

Back to my work on the the Calvinist guitar I'm building....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

    Peace,

    Jack

WOW!!!!! That is probably the nicest Thorn I've seen. And since most Thorn's are totally amazing, that is really saying a lot. I love it!!!! The Koa fretboard is SOOOOOO COOOOOL! Even Koa tuning pegs. Really nice wood on the back too. The whole thing just came together amazingly.

Note to Ron: Fantasic job buddy. You'd be the man!!!!
    :dude

I now know what Koa heaven looks like.

I wonder about the sound though .. KOA I tend to think is a tat brighter then Maple .. on Black Korina which I think is quite balanced in sound and .. a KOA neck?
    Love to hear clips!

besides that, gorgeous looker and of course the matching work with the pick up covers, that is just masterful!

+1 I dig his work but I prefer things more simple myself. I think it looks ridiculous. And I like KOA... hell my snowboard has a KOA top sheet!

I have a Koa top guitar with a Koa neck (with an ebony fretboard which is really bright) and an ash back. That guitar rocks. Went I A/B it against my PRS it blows the PRS off (sound wise at least). I think this guitar will sound great. Koa makes an awsome neck. But, I'm sure well get a sound report from the new owner.

I think that's the most beautiful guitar I've ever seen, and I never ever like anything that strays from the norm! I LOVE the inlay.

Hey-- I primarily play a butterscotch tele knockoff (Hamer) but that does not stop me from appreciating the incredible level of workmanship and realization of aesthetic vision involved in this instrument. Nice work Ron!

    Ridiculous???

I don't get it. Stunning is more like it. Maybe it's not your cup of tea, but "ridiculous" is a little harsh in my mind.

Ron, please send all your ridiculous guitars my way please.( at a discount of course, due to the ridiculous nature of your creativity).

Sheesh, I wouldn't want to be seen with that.:D

BTW, how's my ridiculous Koa Singlecut coming? You know, the one with all the Koa parts.;)

Ahhh, I'm just having some fun with Ted T.
Everyone's entiltled...c'mon now, I build guitars and do custom inlays all day long - not a bad gig, so who am I to gripe? ;)

    Koa gooood :D

    That is SPECTACULAR!

I think Ron's got the whole guitar-building-thing down...man, what a killer looking and I suspect amazingly functional guitar.

    Enjoy,
    Dave

I've said this on more than one occasion, but Ron is the one builder that leaves me speechless and amazed and every creation that comes out of his shop. Just when I think he can't top his last guitar, he manages to do that. This one in no exception - simply spectacular work.

*mutters to self* I WILL own a Thorn before I die...I WILL own a Thorn before I die...
