Got a spontanous urge to record this Michel Legrand tune, but didn't have a band available, so I had to do the bass myself, and used a drum loop from the Zoom R8.

Guitar is an Antonio Sanchez nylon cutaway, into a Red Plate amp profile on the Kemper.

Tastful is, indeed, the key word here.

You've now had me thinking about this tune for the last 24 hours. Eek.

The guitar sounds great through the Kemper. I never would have thought of that.

Thanks for the nice comments, guys!

Recording nylon string, either with external mic or piezo as in this case, usually frustrates me and pretty much diverts energy from music and into tweaking hell.
But I felt this arrangement didn't really need an «authentic» classical sound, so I could think a bit broader about the options, and the Kemper Red Plate profile kinda «clicked» right away.

that was really fine! i am also enjoying your tune over a cup of joe. i also like your tone with the kemper on this. i just got one myself a few weeks ago. cool amp with lots of possibilities. was that a factory rig of the red plate?

Thank you! The profile I used (Red Plate2 by And44) was a free one from The Amp Factory, I think.

Enjoy your Kemper! It's a year and a half or more since I bought mine, and it's like a honeymoon still :)
