I'd order 2 Tom Anderson's and 2 Suhrs to my specs and I'd find the nicest looking R9 I could find.

Assuming I can't pick vintage gear... I'd go:

1. Suhr Modern Custom (mahogany/mahogany w/maple top and rosewood fretboard)
2. Suhr Classic T Custom (ash/maple, '50s whiteguard Tele reissue)
3. Suhr Classic Antique (ash/maple, '50s Strat reissue, splittable HB in the bridge)
4. Suhr Standard Custom (roasted ash/maple, H-S-S)
5. Suhr Classic T Custom (alder/maple/rosewood, with trem/HBs/etc)

W.

Let's update this, three years have gone by and I don't have the love for Suhr that I once did.

1. Danocaster T - Gold w/maple board
2. Gibson Rusty Anderson ES335 - Natural
3. Gibson Les Paul R9 - Lemonburst
4. Gibson Les Paul R4 - Goldtop
5. Danocaster S - Gold w/maple board

In any order:

1. Suhr Custom T: Alder/Maple, traditional color like fiesta red or surf green
2. Suhr Modern: Similar to GG spec, but with normal knobs and a DSV+ in the bridge, faded denim finish on a tight tiger stripe maple top.
3. Suhr Classic: Very traditional sss, Alder/Maple, two tone burst like EJ's guitar in the ACL concert
4. Gretch Brian Setzer
5. Benedetto La Venezia Archtop

1. 1963 Custom Shop Strat.
2. Martin 00-42 Stage Coach
3. Commission a 0-21 from Martin built with OM-21 Special specs
4. Gibson ES-335 (or maybe a Yamano '59 LP that isn't too gaudy?)
5. Gibson ES-175

Not so difficult...

1) pre-cbs strat
2) pre-cbs tele
3) '59 les paul
4) a supermodern H-S-S guitar (PRS-Suhr-Tom Anderson ecc)
5) I'd take lesson by Andy Timmons and Nuno Bettencourt (or a good 335 :munch )

I only want 3:

1) Martin 000-42 (with a custom 24.9 scale)
2) James Goodall jumbo baritone
3) Les Paul Custom with a Bigsby

I love what I have. I'd get a couple of custom builds done, but not for any exotic woods - just pickup/body/neck combinations that aren't off-the-shelf. In fact, I'd probably get them reliced just to piss off most of TGP. I could be the '$400 million man who gets reliced partscasters'.

The only expensive purchase I can think of immediately is a Rich Robinson 335.

1. Martin EMP-2: The guitar that got away.
2. Hamer Mirage Koa: another guitar that got away.
3. 1976 Fender Telecaster Custom: I've always wanted a guitar from the year I was born.
4. Trussart Red Star: just because it's so cool.
5. Hamer Artist in Transparent Green: Saw a guy here selling one on the Emporium a while back. Beautiful guitar. If I'd had the $$, I'd be looking at it right now.

Intrigued by Ronin and Echopark lately, but can't afford them without the Lotto!

I'd probably put together a few of my own too, with Warmoth or USACG parts.

Apart from what I'm building now, the only commercial instrument I'd buy would be a redwood or spruce hollowbody. Most likely a Malinoski Fez.
