1. The Gear Page is run by musicians for musicians. We listen, we learn and if we misstep we are not afraid to do the right thing. We proposed some changes to the Emporiums. Based on feedback from members, we have decided to not go ahead with those changes. However, it has also highlighted that we need some community input into what is working and what is not working for members here. Primarily focused on the Emporiums, we'd like input on your thoughts about TGP and how things work in the Emporiums for you and how you'd improve them. The discussion thread on the is here!

So what's the 1 pedal that inspires you the most, your absolute favorite pedal that you can be most creative with. I'm not talking about pedals that you need to play the gig with (like I need this OD pedal just to get the toanzz for the show), but the 1 pedal that's truly the most fun.

Edit: OK, maybe 2 or 3 cos pedals are sweet and you guys rock, but let's see if we can keep it to 1!

Mine is an EHX Ring Thing:
    - So many interesting cool sounds
    - The ring mod variations sound fantastic and are very flexible
    - Great pitch shifting for bending or blending
    - Really cool/weird modulated sounds that can go from spaceship LFO type stuff to more basic choruses and tremelos.
    - Presets give me 9 really different sounds on the fly
    - Expression pedal makes it sooooo much fun to play with

The pedal I interact the most with and have the most fun with would probably be Funkzilla (envelope).

Industrialectric Reverb. It's like an amp in a box. Has fuzz and drone.

With my present setup, I think it would be a Boss RV-5 or similar.

I thought I was getting a distortion pedal for the Swedish death thing, which this does in spades, but it also dethroned a fuzz that's been on my board for a few years and the guitar vol clean up delivers killer OD tones.

Big box Q-tron+. So much fun. Over the years though I've had a few pedals though that have truly inspired . Starting with a DMM and a Keely Bubbletron along the way .

Okey dokey, seeing as we can now have more, in addition to the El Cap, I'll add...

    Alexander F-13N
    Whammy DT

The three of 'em - together and in combination - give me hours and hours of sheer, unadulterated playing fun. I have pages and pages of stuff written down, waiting to become finished songs, thanks to these.

    Strymon Deco
Tape Flange/Tape Chorus/Slapback/ Tape Echo...all that in stereo.
Also has "Drive" options and expression or favorite.

I was using it for slapback...And one day, I see Bonamassa on "Rig Rundown" saying that he uses "chorus" to tight the bottom end.
I was like..."wait a minute, I think I can try this with the Deco". I was right, I get similar results.
With the right setting, you can't really hear the chorus but you will notice a big difference in the the bottom end if you turn the pedal off.

That pedal is a gold mine!

And since you changed it to more than one, I'll add the EHX Canyon and the Dr Scientist Bitquest.
