Okay - I used the search function to see responses on other threads regarding telecaster replacement pickups. Cool but seemed inconclusive. What I need: twang and quack for clean and tweedy country as well as nice punch for rock in the studio. Some swear by Lindy Fralins - others lean on Lollars. What about the others like Bare Knuckle and Sheptone? What do you think the best telecaster replacement pickup combination to be?

Don Mare if vintage tone is wanted.
I will only use his pickups in my Tele's.

I like Budz a lot. Sean uses them in his Old World Teles.

I recorded 14 cds with Van Zandts, I now Use Don Mare's and Love Jason Lollars
Can't go wrong with either of these!
Lindy Fralin makes a good one, also.
I would go with The DON of pup makers, Mr Mare.
