The SYOD is the Sparkling Yellow Overdrive, which is a BJF Customshop model at this point. It is not part of the regular BJF line as of right now, but is available in very limited quantities.

This pedal sprung from a prototype overdrive circuit which Bjorn had come up with for me in 2006, to go as a companion / rhythm overdrive in front of my Dyna Red Distortion.

I don't work for BJF, so I have no knowledge of any further details in terms of waiting lists, how many are to be made, etc.

But that's what the SYOD is, and I know that I love mine and would want it on my hypothetical desert island.

Indeed, another excellent choice IMO. Blackstone is a great, great pedal for sure.

If I had to choose a single OD pedal right now I'd pick my modified version 2 Fulltone OCD.

If I had the time to rehouse my Lovepedal COT-50 and Eternity pedals into a single enclosure before having to choose a single pedal I'd take the COT/E over the OCD.

+1 on the Fulldrive 2 - custom shop Mosfet that is... Covers just about everything I need...

Second option would be a germanium fuzz, since it can cover lots of OD-ground too and has a lil' more soul/dynamics/harmonics.

For me it would be the Xacttone Precision Overdrive. As much as i love my Landgraff's...the PO is as close to prefection as i've ever heard.

You need the professor and Ginger.

The Professor to whip up some coconut batteries to power amp and pedal, Ginger....well...for other things.

If you brought a fuzz though, you might have to argue with the Professor about whether coconut batteries, or
electric eel batteries sounded better for it.

no, but it does have a huge stockpile of 9V batteries

i'd take my greedtone, wide range of OD and very pick sensitive

plus the LED is so bright it could be used as a signal for rescuers

    Fetto.

(Though I'd be semi-torn between it and a Mojo Drive...)

If we were leaving today (as marcau so nicely put it- lol), I'd take my BJF custom HBOD... *IF* however I was givven a few days notice (30 days?) I'd probably take my Landgraff LDO :) That being said, I'd take both.
