I've been going on a Uni-vibe kick lately. Which tracks, recordings do you base your vibe tones with?

    Obvious ones:

    Machine Gun-BOG
    Breathe/Brain Damage-DSOTM
    Bridge Of Sighs/ I Can't Wait Much Longer-Robin Trower

Hannah-Robin Trower, really he has a ton of them. Daydream from "Live" is great. I remember wondering how his sound seemed to "throb" when he held a note-it's not really in your face, but it's such a cool sound. I'd be interested in hearing some more suggestions though-it's a fun effect and I need more songs to play with it.
Tuesday's Gone is either phaser or univibe-it seems to throb once then not again so I'm not really sure which.

Floyd and Hendrix are my favs... if I am going for that sound, I sometimes use a vibe, but find myself going to flange as well.

Hendrix, Trower and Floyd are my favs too. Machine Gun and Hey Baby (New Rising Sun) made me want a Uni-Vibe and this is the sound I'm looking for.

Two demos recorded by our own JimB with what we both agreed was one of the best UniVibes we have ever heard.

Jimi Hendrix 'first rays of the new rising sun'. Not 'hey baby - land of the new rising sun', I mean that instrumental that's on the new west coast Seattle boy box set. That's nothing short of magestic.

I agree. I'm not 100% certain its all vibe on that album, but either way, that's the sound I go for. And Machine Gun of course...

I'm probably in the minority here, but I actually use the vibrato function a lot too. Its probably even harder to find recorded examples of that sound!

Some say Robin was using an Electric Mistress in the late 70s but this track sounds vibey anyway - great tune:
