I'm sure this has been done before. What the heck. I may have posted this same thread years ago. Let's do this again. :D

What band, year and your age? Also anything else you would like to ad.

Mine was Styx with Rick Derringer opening in '79. I was 13 and the venue was the Boston Garden.

Styx with The Baby's in 1978 (or maybe it was 1979?). Anyway, I was in 10th grade. Hollywood Sportatorium, Hollywood, Florida.

KISS January 1977 Rock and Roll Over Tour. That was the first one I went to that wasn't something my parents dragged me out to anyway, though my Mom was there. They always had us at stuff like Beach Boys before that if they didn't have a sitter.

Paul McCartney and wings 75 I believe.

I had been to some country concerts/festivals before P.M. with my parents but don't really remember too much about them.

Paul m was the first concert I went to with some friends I was 15 or 16.

Ok, so I'm a bit younger than some of you... Mine was Suede at the Free Trade Hall in Manchester, 1994. I would have been 17. Classical music venue with a full rock PA installed so it was insanely loud, and the venue refused to remove the seats which didn't stop a thousand or so teenagers rushing the stage the second the show started. Still, an amazing show.

Lynyrd Skynrd, 1976, I was 14 at the time. Outdoor venue. Me and some buddies snuck in on the back of a Schlitz Beer truck

I saw them on that tour as well. Really good show. Also saw Rush with the Babys as I recall, maybe the next year or the year before.

A local band called Nosferatu opened.
Months later they would give each member of Metallica one of their shirts.

James wore his on the video for Nothing Else Matters.

ELO with a hot new duo called Hall and Oates opening up in Chicago 78 (79?). I was about 10 or 11. ELO's stage opened up like a huge UFO - really cool!

First on my own was supposed to be Aerosmith with Megadeth opening. I got the ticket to see Megadeth, but they cancelled. Jackyl replaced them. I was not amused.

But probably the most memorable was the next concert: Lynyrd Skynyrd, 6/18/77. Cape Cod Coliseum. General Admission $6.50

    Can't remember.

It was either the Blues Magoos or Amboy Dukes.

Rush, on the Signals tour, Dec.15,1982 at the Worcester Centrum in Ma. I was 12 years old and the ticket cost $12.50. I still have the stub, that's the only reason I still know the specifics! My Mom and Dad drove my brother and I about 50 miles to the show, dropped us off, and went out for dinner. Rory Gallagher opened up for them, first time I had ever heard his name or his music. Great show, even greater parents.

I was 13. Still one of the best shows I've ever been to.
